In November 2025, Washington United Migrant (WUM) received a two-year operating grant from the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound, strengthening the continuity and expansion of our community work across Thurston, Mason, and Lewis counties.

This support is essential to sustaining and strengthening WUM’s community infrastructure, allowing us to respond more effectively to the needs of migrant families in the region.

Our work is grounded in the principle of “migrant-to-migrant” support, ensuring that every program is culturally relevant and designed from the lived experience of our own community.

Through our programs, we provide Spanish-language workshops, personalized resource navigation, and the training of community promoters who serve as trusted bridges between migrant families and available support systems. This approach allows us to address urgent needs while promoting long-term, sustainable change.

At WUM, we believe that when migrant communities lead the solutions, the impact is deeper and more just. This grant reinforces our commitment to continue walking alongside migrant families and expanding their access to resources, opportunities, and dignity.
