Círculos de Bienestar project

Circulos de bienestar aims to strengthen the collective well-being of Latino immigrant families by fostering culturally rooted spaces of trust, connection, and access to vital health and mental health information.

Workshops

Circulos de Bienestar empowered Latino families to better understand and access the U.S. healthcare system. Through two engaging virtual workshops in Spanish, we shared practical, easy-to-understand information on medical services, health insurance, and mental health. In its first stage, the program directly benefited 33 families across Thurston, Mason, Lewis, and Grays Harbor counties, equipping them with the tools to confidently navigate healthcare and support the well-being of their communities.

Testimonials

"I had health insurance, but I lost it when I stopped working. Now that I’m older, I realize how important it is to have coverage so I can get regular check-ups and take care of my health".

Olympia, WA

"As parents, we need to stay attentive to our children, especially when they face bullying at school, and know how to ask for help. Mental health resources are very helpful in guiding us on when and how to support them."

McCleary, WA

"I didn’t know about Charity Care. I didn’t have health insurance and had to pay a medical bill out of pocket. It’s good to know some programs can help if you don’t qualify for insurance."
